Mr. & Mrs. Tornow . . . [lawrence wedding photogrpahy]

Get ready for a very lengthy blog post . . . how could it NOT be when it features the wedding of some of my very favorite people in my FAVE place . . Lawrence, Kansas! ;)

Nicole and Matt tied the knot this September in Lawrence (where they live & home to my alma mater KU!) so when these longtime friends of ours asked me to photograph their BIG day . .  of course, I jumped at the chance!

Their wedding day was colorful, meaningful, fun, honest and also a non-stop PARTY. What more could you ask for?! Well done, Tornows! It was a perfect day for two people who are certainly a perfect fit for each other. Nicole took great care in every gorgeous detail from the paper goods to the cupcake goodies. Not to mention what a stunning bride she made!

The day began with the entire wedding party prepping at the amazing Oread Hotel overlooking the awesome University of Kansas campus and the ongoing football game. The couple had their ‘first look’ on the rooftop terrace . . so pretty! Then we all headed around town for photographs – to campus, a downtown park, and of course Fatsos (the bar where they met working), before heading to the Country Club for the ceremony and wedding reception. Nicole and Matt were married in an outdoor ceremony officiated by our friend who got some good laughs during the personal ceremony. The little ring bearer was also a hit, winking and high-five-ing his way down the aisle. Then it was off to celebrate with the Tornows . . and party the evening away!

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Tornow! I hope you enjoy the photographs as it was truly wonderful to be a part of your big day and wedding weekend. Wishing you many years of happiness!
